A While

Weaving has been a fallow field these past couple of months, though I've been intermittently working on the last portion of the Ocean Born Mary scarf warp, weaving in different weights and kinds of weft.  I love the part of any warp where I can use the remainder for sampling - you never know what might end up being an amazing combination.

That warp was a lot of work.  It took me months to dye the many many different colors in that warp.  I learned so much, too, in the process.  And achieved a marvellous teal!!

Not sure what the next project will be: I kind of want to mount the compu-dobby back on the loom and explore the world of advancing twills using more repeats than I have wood dobby bars for the mechanical dobby.  But I am also very attached to being able to use the mechanical dobby since it's so delightfully analogue.
